1. Introduction Welcome to Hockey’s Farm Shop. These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to any order you place through our website (hockeys-farm.co.uk) and your general use of our site.

By placing an order or signing up for our newsletter, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

3. Our Products (The Farm Fresh Promise)

  • Nature of Goods: Many of our products are fresh, natural, and variable by season. The images on our site are for illustrative purposes. Your specific cut of meat or vegetable box may vary slightly in size, shape, or colour.

  • Weights: For weighed items (like meat), the price guide is based on an average weight. We aim to get as close as possible, but slight variations may occur.

  • Allergens: We handle nuts, gluten, dairy, and other allergens in our farm shop and café. While we take care to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee any product is 100% allergen-free. Please check product labels upon receipt.

4. Orders & Contracts

  • Acceptance: Your order is an offer to buy. Our acceptance takes place when we send you an email confirming your order is being prepared or dispatched. At this point, a contract is formed.

  • Availability: All orders are subject to stock availability. If a specific item or cut is unavailable, we may contact you to offer a suitable substitute or a full refund.

  • Right to Cancel (Perishables): Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the standard "14-day cooling-off period" does not apply to perishable goods (fresh meat, dairy, vegetables) liable to deteriorate rapidly.

  • Right to Cancel (Non-Perishables): For non-perishable items (e.g., jars, gifts), you have 14 days from receipt to change your mind and return the item at your own cost for a refund.

5. Delivery & Click and Collect

  • Delivery Areas: We deliver to specific postcodes as outlined on our Shipping Info page.

  • "Safe Place" Policy: If you are not home, the couriers are instructed to leave your perishable goods in a safe place or with a neighbour to ensure they stay fresh. We accept no liability for theft or spoilage if you are not there to receive the delivery.

  • Click & Collect: Orders must be collected within the designated slot. Uncollected fresh items may be disposed of after 24 hours for health and safety reasons, and no refund will be given.

6. Price & Payment

  • Prices include VAT where applicable.

  • Prices may change due to market fluctuation (it's a farm, after all!), but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

7. Newsletter & Promotions

  • Sign-Up: By signing up for our newsletter ("The Herd"), you agree to receive promotional emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.

  • Offers: Discount codes and welcome offers are limited to one per customer, cannot be used in conjunction with other offers, and have no cash value. We reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.

8. Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

  • Our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising in connection with these Terms shall be limited to the total price of your order.

  • We are not responsible for delays outside our control (e.g., extreme weather, fuel shortages, or "force majeure" events).

9. Governing Law These Terms are governed by English law. You and we both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
