Bluebells, Breakfast & Guided Walks in the New Forest at Hockey’s Farm Shop
There’s a very particular kind of morning in the New Forest at this time of year, the sort where you arrive with no real plan other than a coffee, and end up staying for hours. A walk turns into lunch, a quick browse becomes a full basket, and before you know it you’ve spent the morning properly switched off from everything else. This week is shaping up to be exactly that, with the bluebells still looking incredible and our monthly Commoners’ Breakfast and Guided Walk returning this Thursday 30th April.
If you are searching for things to do in the New Forest this week, or planning a spring day out in Hampshire, this is one not to miss.
Bluebell Walks in the New Forest – Cuckoo Copse at Hockey’s Farm Shop
Spring in the New Forest National Park is known for its bluebells, and right now they are still out in force at Cuckoo Copse, right here at Hockey’s Farm Shop in South Gorley, Hampshire.
This is one of the most peaceful bluebell walks in the New Forest, offering a short, tranquil woodland route where the forest floor is covered in colour. It’s the kind of place that encourages you to slow down and take it all in.
If you’re planning a visit, access is simple. Just pop into The Vinery when you arrive to register before heading up to the copse. This helps us protect the space and manage footfall during this busy seasonal period.
A quick reminder:
Registration is required in The Vinery before walking
No dogs are allowed in Cuckoo Copse to protect the bluebells
If you’ve been searching for where to see bluebells in the New Forest, this is your sign to visit while they are still at their best.
Book Now: Commoners’ Breakfast & Guided Walk – Thursday 30th April
This Thursday, we are hosting our monthly Commoners’ Breakfast and Guided Walk, one of the most popular New Forest experiences we offer.
The morning begins in our Farmyard cafe with a locally sourced breakfast, before a short, engaging talk from a guest speaker sharing insights into the New Forest from commoning traditions to how the landscape is managed today.
You’ll then head out on a guided walk through the New Forest, giving you the chance to see and understand the environment in a way that goes beyond a standard walk.
To book your place, visit our events page:👉 https://www.hockeysfarm.co.uk/events-news
(Spaces are limited and these events do book up, so we recommend securing your place in advance.)
