There’s a very particular kind of morning in the New Forest at this time of year, the sort where you arrive with no real plan other than a coffee, and end up staying for hours. This week is shaping up to be exactly that, with the bluebells still looking incredible and our monthly Commoners’ Breakfast and Guided Walk returning this Thursday 30th April.

Bluebell Walks in the New Forest – Cuckoo Copse at Hockey’s Farm Shop

Spring in the New Forest National Park is known for its bluebells, and right now they are still out in force at Cuckoo Copse, right here at Hockey’s Farm Shop in South Gorley, Hampshire.

This is one of the most peaceful bluebell walks in the New Forest, offering a short, tranquil woodland route where the forest floor is covered in colour. It’s the kind of place that encourages you to slow down and take it all in.

If you’re planning a visit, access is simple. Just pop into The Vinery when you arrive to register before heading up to the copse. This helps us protect the space and manage footfall during this busy seasonal period.

A quick reminder:

  • Registration is required in The Vinery before walking

  • No dogs are allowed in Cuckoo Copse to protect the bluebells

This Thursday, we are hosting our monthly Commoners’ Breakfast and Guided Walk, one of the most popular New Forest experiences we offer.
